the ILARGIA FESTIVAL ...

from the 24th to the 28th of April is organized to be a great event for all the members of Maurice Ravel High School community. Students of TL are supposed to be the most implicated among French hosts because they were "the targeted group" since 2016.... but we'll need too the help from "european" travellers from other classes and good will fellows interested in meetings with foreign people ! It seems - according to this picture - that some pupils from TES may be involved in the costumed parade and the party the 27th !

Sorry if we disturb a little what is usually the "normal life" in the scolar city.

Firts step :

After many activities dedicated to old fears in a first 20 months phase, it was necessary to study modern problems scaring people of nowadays and to begin our common rewriting task. It was the C4 study travel main goal to adopt a framework to write a transnational narrative. F ind a report online on the short-term exchange in Turkey. Une première étape : après de nombreuses activités consacrées aux peurs anciennes durant une première phase pédagogique durant de 20 mois, il devenait nécessaire d’étudier les choses qui effraient encore les gens de nos jours, mais surtout de commencer notre travail de réécriture transnational. Aussi était-il proposé lors de l'échange de court-terme C4 de faire travailler les élèves sur un «pitch» commun choisi d'après les propositions de réécritures formulées par chacune des écoles

La concrétisation de notre ambition initiale (Bâtir un projet culturel commun) reposait sur le libre concours de tous nos partenaires, et leur adhésion au programme et aux valeurs du FESTIVAL ILARGIA, ultime échange de court terme et dernière mobilité pour les élèves (C5).

Our visitors from Cesme, Cluj-Napoca, Riga and Roma were on stage with us to play the transnational show, but also their own productions. They were involved in the Parade and in all other activities to make the ILARGIA FESTIVAL great and unforgettable! M. Manolo Alcayaga a accompagné la mise en place du partenariat dès l'origine.

Ayant accepté, en octobre 2015, de donner des explications sur les sorcières lors de la visite des grottes de Zugarramurdi, il vint faire une conférence doublée d'une démonstration au Lycée dans le cadre de la "Journée d'études Basques" de Janvier 2017 organisée en appui au projet NBE+. Invités à participer à l'événement festif d'avril 2018, lui et son association ont répondu favorablement. Nous les en remercions et comptons sur les "sonneurs" pour donner un aspect magique au défilé du 27 avril...

WITCHES

Normalement fermé le Mardi en basse saison, le site de Zugarramurdi nous ouvre ses portes très exceptionnellement le 24 avril 2018.

Nous y recevrons nos hôtes étrangers et la cérémonie d'ouverture aura lieu dans l'auditorium du Musée des sorcières, après la visite guidée de l'établissement et des grottes toutes proches. Le groupe déjeunera à deux pas, dans le village

Zugarramurdi is a famous village, where numerous wizards and witches were arrested in 17th century, but it is also the scene of a successful spanish movie about sorcery. In the old times, people was specially afraid of witches in Basque Country. Why ? Perhaps the Catholic church could have suspiscion about some of local traditions of pagan origins, and also foreigners could not understand euskara. Another point is that women were probably more free in these provinces than elsewhere.
